Amazing place in Florence

Antique old nice furniture looks rich with drawings on ceiling i loved the old details of the building entrance and the beautiful tableaux on walls .. was very clean and housekeeper was doing her job perfectly.. the owner never showed up but was the best owner I knew she was answering me very fast .. very helpful and giving all information u may need in Florence plus she helped me in a situation and was really nice would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing!

A beautiful place in a perfect location not too close to the hustle of the city centre! Really beautiful living room and love the atmosphere of the historic building! Super easy to get everywhere from there!

The street is a little bot loud! We didn’t switch on the air-con the first night and opened the window- it was super loud to sleep. But when the window is closed you cannot hear anything!

Comfortable and cozy stay

The B&B is very beautiful, located in an old building and has a very homie and warm atmosphere. Also the room was great, very spacious, comfortable and neat.

The only downside was the double bed, made of two single beds put together. Although the single beds were comfortable, the setup is not ideal for a couple.

It was a very pleasant, comfortable stay with very responsive owners.

L'Antica Porta Boutique B&B is located at Porta Romana in a traditionally old Florence building. The room was comfortable, though it could use a bit more furnishings (end tables next to the bed?) and if you have a computer, you need an extension cord to reach the electrical outlets. Wifi is very good. We had a couple of issues when we entered the room (bathroom door needed some adjustment; a little misunderstanding about the a/c), but the owner responded immediately (all communications was by WhatsApp). On our last day we had a late flight, but we were also allowed to leave our bags in the common living room, which was very convenient. The building and the area are very safe. While Florence is definitely a "walking city" and we made the 25-30 minute walk into town (but less time to reach Pitti Palace or Boboli Gardens - there is an entrance 2 minutes from the hotel) on several occasions, there are also very convenient and frequent bus lines (11,36,37) into the city, of which we also made use (buy the bus tickets at the tabaccheria next to the roundabout; use Moovit or Google Maps) - though we found that the buses in Firenze are not always 100% reliable (sometimes not arriving according to schedule; one time the driver even skipped a stop - apparently he couldn't be bothered!). The neighborhood is quiet and safe and there are a few (good) bar/cafes and restaurants near the roundabout. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay with very responsive owners in a facility that is a bit far from the center, but easily accessible by bus or if you like walking (the best way to get a feel for any city), it's certainly doable.

The room could be furnished a bit more extensively. The shower head could be better.

This room was adequate for our stay with lots of good small restaurants nearby. the shared lounge is pleasant.

Large room and the bed was comfortable.

The terrace was unkept and has no furniture so couldn’t be utilised. Bathroom is dated and needs refurbishment and redecoration.

Great room, lovely staff, location is for people who like walking

The room was comfy and large. Never felt cramped for space, the staff were very helpful and responsive over WhatsApp for anything we needed. It was clean. The building is quirky and cool.

The location was a bit further out from the main attractions and transport options than we would have liked, although it is a nice spot it wasn't as convenient as hoped. We knew it was on the outskirts when booking, but didn't fully understand the impact as we didn't realise there are no users and taxis are difficult to book.
